Mr. Qirong Wang, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor said at the signing ceremony that 2023 is a crucial year for the “14th Five-Year Plan” significance in green strategy. This time, the Suzhou (Anhui Province) Municipal Government and SF-PV have joined forces to build a 10 GW high-performance cell production, photovoltaic and wind power generation as well as energy storage projects, with a total investment of about 10.5 billion RMB. The two parties will give full play to the advantages of all parties and deeply integrate to further help the construction of Suzhou’s (Anhui Province) new energy system and promote the “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals” process.
At the meeting, Mrs. Shuiyun Wang, chairman of SF-PV, first thanked the Suzhou (Anhui Province) Municipal Government for its strong support for this strategic cooperation project. As a global leader in the new energy industry, SF-PV currently has two major photovoltaic business segments, of which SF-PV New Energy is mainly engaged in the cell business, and its wholly-owned subsidiary Suntech is mainly engaged in the module business. After 21 years of brand accumulation, the overall scale of Suntech’s industrial chain has been ranked among the top in the world year after year, also has received wide praise and recognition from many customers at home and abroad. The 10 GW high-performance cell production, photovoltaic and wind power generation, moreover energy storage projects in cooperation with the Suzhou (Anhui Province) Municipal Government will lead the production capacity of SF-PV and Suntech to a new level and provide a reliable guarantee for the Group’s global business layout.
With the launch of this project, SF-PV will have major production bases across the country including Wuxi, Changzhou, Chuzhou and Suzhou (Anhui Province), with a cell production capacity of 16.5 GW and a module production capacity of 25 GW. Grasping the good development situation of the current new energy system construction and continuing to strengthen technological innovation and service level, SF-PV Smart Factory has introduced brand-new automated and efficient component production equipment, plans to produce 210 mm large-size MBB high-power components, which are compatible with 182 mm size MBB cells, the production line covers all mainstream modules represented by high-efficiency N-type TOPCon modules.
We believe that in the future, with the support and care of the Suzhou (Anhui Province) Municipal Government and the efforts of all SF-PV employees, the 10 GW TOPCon high-efficiency cell production, photovoltaic power generation, and energy storage projects will become a new model of win-win cooperation between government and enterprises, helps clean energy and green electricity has into the lives of more and more people, further promoting the early realization of the “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals”.
